It is agreed between the SWAN project and the trainee that:
1: The trainee will take responsibility for organising the supervision sessions in accordance withBACP guidelines - a minimum of one and a half -hours a month. The trainee will receive up to four hours per month depending on their perceived need.
2: The supervisor and trainee will meet for at least one supervision sessions before the trainee has any clientsat the SWAN Project.
3: The supervisor will be clinically responsible for the trainee's work.
4: The trainee will keep the supervisor informed of any changes in their personal circumstances, which may effect their practice.
5: Both trainee and supervisor should be aware of the BACP ethical framework and should abide by it.
6: If an occasion arises where it seems that it may be necessary to break confidentiality for thewelfare of the client, the trainee is responsible for contactingeither her own supervisor, or another supervisor at the SWAN Project. It will be the responsibilityofthe supervisor to break confidentiality NOT the trainee.
7: The sharing of information relevant to the supervisee's training between her/his supervisor andtraining institute.
8:The trainee needs to be a member of BACP, or an equivalent body.
9: The trainee should have an up to date standard police check.. (CRB)
10: The clients will be assessed by the SWAN Project for suitability before they are allocatedto a trainee on placement.
11: The supervisor and the trainee need to give each other notice should either of them wish to terminatethe placement. This should represent a quarter of the time spent at the SWAN Project for example,after one year the notice period would be three months. 12: The session notes will be the property of the trainee and monthly notes should be filled in for the records of the SWAN Project. (Form will be provided). 13: The trainee's notes should be kept in a safe place which can be locked.
14: Each trainee will be allocated a contact on the managerial staff. This is for added support andshould be the first point of contact if an issue cannot be resolved with the supervisor.
15: Should a trainee need to tape a client, or write a case study on a client, he/she should seekpermission from the SWAN Project before asking permission from the client. (Contact provided)
16: The trainee should attend all training workshops and trainee group meetings. The training is held on Saturdays.
17. Five-seven training days will be provided yearly.
18: The trainee will pay £25 per month towards the cost of their supervision and training.
19 : The trainee will agree to increase their caseload until they have four clients a week..

YOU WILL NEED TO PRODUCE A COPY OF YOUR POLICE CHECK AND YOUR BACP MEMBERSHIP NUMBER, OR PROOF THAT YOU ARE IN THE PROCESS OF AQUIRING THESE.
