Rehabilitation

“To enable individuals to make informed choices about their life-style”.

Physical

We aim to provide information regarding all aspects of physical health.  Light exercise is encouraged and incorporated into our programme.  This leads on to a fuller physical awareness through bodywork.  Massage and reiki are optional, as one of the alternatives offered in the afternoon programme. We provide each client with a freshly squeezed juice at the end of each day.

Emotional/Psychological

In the group we explore how emotions can enrich, and can be channelled to become positive aspects of our day to day lives, for example, loss, sadness and the anger that can act as a defense when we are feeling vulnerable.  Our bodywork programme enables individuals to become aware of, identify and name the different emotions which alcohol suppresses over time. We provide sessions on anger management, relapse prevention, self-esteem, stress management /relaxation techniques, how to become more assertiveness, communication skills, understanding our emotions and improving relationships.

Spiritual

We aim to encourage connectedness to nature, the environment and the individual’s inner peace and harmony.  We provide a Tranquillity Zone – a space to relax and enjoy visualizations, calming music and inspiring words. Relaxation is also an integral part of the day programme. We also have an allotment which clients are encouraged to use either for relaxation or for growing produce.
